MTAC Membership Information
MTAC Open Session and MTAC Membership Assembly/Focus Group Discussions
The Postmaster General's Mailers' Technical Advisory Committee (MTAC) is a venue for the United States Postal Service (Postal Service) to share technical information with mailers, and to receive their advice and recommendations on matters concerning mail-related products and services, in order to enhance customer value and expand the use of these products and services for the mutual benefit of Mailing Industry stakeholders and the Postal Service.
The MTAC Open Session and Reception are held quarterly on Tuesdays starting at 1 p.m. The MTAC Membership meetings and Focus Group discussions are on Wednesdays, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Postal Service's national headquarters at 475 L'Enfant Plaza SW, Washington, D.C. 20260-0004.

*The MTAC Membership Assembly will convene on Wednesday, May 20 from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. followed by the MTAC business meeting from 5:00 - 5:30 p.m. MTAC members will also receive an invitation to the MTAC 50th Anniversary reception on Tuesday, May 19, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.

MTAC Work Groups, Task Teams, and User Groups
Any MTAC representative or USPS executive can propose an issue that would require the formation of a new work group. Problems and issues must be industry-related, timely, and the potential solution should pertain to something that concerns both the industry and the USPS.
Task Teams: A dedicated group of individuals quickly addressing very specific issues. They achieve results in a strict, often urgent period of time. The group concludes when the task or problem resolution is completed.
User Groups: These select groups serve as an ongoing forum for users of a particular postal product or process. The User Groups of today cover a wide-range of topics from Intelligent Mail, addressing, labeling lists, and eVS, to FAST, visibility, MTEOR, and promotions.
Work Groups: These proficient groups address defined issues and provide recommendations. The group concludes when recommendations are submitted for consideration.
