The RDI Product helps customers reduce shipping costs by verifying whether a delivery type is classified as residential or business. The sole purpose of the RDI Product is to determine parcel shipping rate information or provide analysis of parcel shipping patterns and costs. Only licensed RDI Providers receive the RDI data.
Applicants must be:- In the business of shipping parcels, consolidating parcel shipment, analyzing parcel operations or providing parcel rate-shopping software.
- Publicly offering parcel rate-shopping analysis services if not in the business of shipping or consolidating parcels.
- Or in the processing of becoming a CASS software manufacturer or using CASS Certified™ software or an address standardization tool to access the RDI Product. For a definition of 'address standardization tool' see section 1.4 of the RDI License Agreement. Annual License Fee: $300.00*
* The initial licensing year is prorated.
What's next?
Once you have decided to apply to become an RDI licensee, the next step is to complete the certification process. The process includes the completion of the following documentation:
- Application
- Confidentiality Statement
- Self-Certification Survey
- Declaration of Non-Competitive Status
- Key Personnel Listing
Upon completion of these documents, a license agreement must be executed, including payment of the appropriate licensing fees.
