MAILERS’ TECHNICAL
ADVISORY COMMITTEE (MTAC)
MEETING MINUTES
The
meeting was held at US Postal Service Headquarters, 475 L'Enfant Plaza SW,
presentations may be downloaded from the MTAC Web site.
The meeting was called to order at 12:00 noon by Susan Plonkey, Postal Chair. Guests from the Postal Customer Council National Advisory Council were recognized. It was announced that the
meetings will now be recorded to share in other venues. The newsletters Memo to Mailers and Mailers Companion have now been combined into one publication—MailPro. MTAC members were
also invited to sign up for the new electronic PCC Insider newsletter at www.usps.com/pcc . There are a limited number of booths available free of charge for the Industry Resource Pavilion at the
upcoming National Postal Forum in Washington, DC, March 25-28, 2007. MTAC members were invited to complete and submit application forms which were provided as handouts. All workgroups
are required to post their minutes on the MTAC Issue Tracking System (MITS) on the website. Members were reminded to renew their MTAC badges if that badge expires in December 2006.
Joyce McGarvy, Industry Chair, further explained that each workgroup should appoint a scribe, who would then be responsible for posting the workgroup’s minutes on the Web site. The dates for the
MTAC 2007 General Session meetings are: February 21-22, May 16-17, August 1-2, and November 7-8. New members were introduced, and outgoing member Sue Taylor was thanked for her work
with MTAC.
