PAVE™ Program
The PAVE program is a process designed in cooperation with the mailing industry to evaluate presort software to determine its accuracy in sorting address files according to DMM® standards. PAVE Certification is available only to software and hardware developers, i.e., companies that develop presort software or manufacture presorting equipment for resale or internal use. Participation in the program is purely voluntary.
For business mailers, use of PAVE certified software greatly reduces the occurrence of presort errors and increases the accuracy of postage payment. While using PAVE certified software provides no guarantees, it does streamline the business mail acceptance process and improves the efficiency of mail processing. The PAVE Certified products list provides information regarding the presort software's features and capabilities as well as contact information to learn more about a specific product. The PAVE certified products list is available at http://www.ribbs.usps.gov/files/PAVE/PUBS/CYCLE_H_LIST.PDF.
