By using CASS Certified software, a mailer can standardize addresses and obtain the correct
ZIP + 4^® assignments and associated delivery point codes.

CASS Certified software incorporates DPV™ logic and can determine if the ZIP + 4 coded address is recognized as a valid delivery within the USPS^® delivery network. It assigns the appropriate postal codes for carrier route id, 5-digit ZIP Code, ZIP + 4 code and delivery point code. It will indicate if the ZIP Code contains only P.O. Box delivery.
